Dog Fair – August 4 only
Get ready for all the action at this year’s Dog Fair on Monday, August 4 in the Coliseum from 10am until 6pm. The dog demonstrations, agility, flyball and musical chairs will make you applaud. Lights, Camera, K-9 Action is awaiting your review!
Ag Venture – August 5 only
Experience what life on the farm is like through 15 hands-on stations during Ag Venture. Check it out from 9am – 4pm in the Rabbit & Poultry Palace on August 5. Ag Venture provides a terrific opportunity for families to learn about various aspects of Wisconsin’s largest industry – agriculture!
Petting Zoo – August 6 only
Pet, feed, and interact with an array of animals from soft and fuzzy ones to more exotic creatures. Animals and experts from Jo Dons Farm will ensure your trip to the Petting Zoo is a fun one from 9am until 6pm on Wednesday, August 6. This popular attraction is sure to delight children of all ages!
Ag Oasis presented by McDonald’s Restaurants of Southeastern Wisconsin
Featuring Youth Music & Drama PerformancesCome support some of the best talent in the state of Wisconsin! Enjoy daily music and drama performances showcased by youth members of Wisconsin’s 4-H. Ag Oasis is located between the Coliseum and the Wisconsin Products Pavilion.
Animal Care Building
Located in Ag Village just east of the Sheep & Goat Barn, the Animal Care Building is a great place to stop to learn about the care of domestic pets. Plus, Fairgoers can enjoy shows featuring dogs playing flyball and executing dog herding.
Assurant Health Family Variety Stage
Located within the Big Backyard, the Assurant Health Family Variety Stage offers fantastic, interactive entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. Enjoy a variety of performances from a engaging entertainers throughout the day and evening. The stage features performances by the Truly Remarkable Loon, Kenny Ahern, National Yo-Yo Champion Mark Hayward, Nick’s Kids Show, Kandu & Co. Magic Show and others! Central Mall
A broad range of fun activities fill Central Mall every day thanks to our sponsors. Activities vary by day and detailed information on the activities of the day will be available on the Daily Schedules closer to the Fair and will be listed in the Daily Fliers available at the Fair’s Information Centers.
Children’s Family Fun Zone
For a wide range of activities and inflatable fun, take the kids to the Children’s Family Fun Zone
operated by Music on the Move Plus. There are two Children’s Family Fun Zones located near the northwest side of the Wisconsin Exposition Center and on the east side of the Wisconsin Exposition Center. (fee applies)
DNR Park
The DNR Park, located just west of the Wisconsin Exposition Center on the south side of the Park, is a wonderful experience for kids and families. The DNR provides not only a wonderful natural setting, but also offers a variety of fun activities for children.
Discovery Barnyard
Located in Ag Village, the Discovery Barnyard is a great place for families to learn about the lifecycle of several different animals and see them up close. It’s a wonderful and fun educational place to discover the world of animal agriculture!
Giant Slide
The slide isn’t just for kids, but kids definitely love it! Prepare to hear “can we go again?”
The Giant Green and Yellow Slide is a Wisconsin State Fair icon and part of the true Fair experience.
So get in line, grab your burlap sack, and take a ride down our 175’ slide. It’s guaranteed to put a slide on your face! (fee applies)
House of Moo
Enhance your knowledge of the dairy industry and view milking demonstrations at the House of Moo, located in the Livestock Barn.
Jeffrey Scott® Activity Stage presented by 99.1 WMYX
Located in the Wisconsin Exposition Center, the stage features all sorts of cool stuff for kids and families from martial arts demonstrations, Funky Heads (Karaoke in front of a green screen), dance groups, Fairest of the Fairs, gymnastics, fitness demonstrations and so much more. Plus, the Golden Dragon Acrobats will perform twice each evening from July 31 through August 9 as part of their 30th Anniversary United States Tour. Kiddie Kingdom
If your little one loves rides, but isn’t quite big enough to take on the excitement of the Spectacular Midway, we have kiddie sized fun in our Kiddie Kingdom. A variety of rides will keep your young ones entertained and promises to deliver big smiles to their faces! Located inside the U.S. Cellular Main Gate on the north side of the Fair Park. (fees apply)
“Make It, Take It” Area
Located in the lobby of the Wisconsin Exposition Center, the “Make It, Take It” area is a great place for kids to explore their creative side. Necklace making and beadwork, creating key chains, and Origami are all part of the fun! Stop by and let your kids make it and then take it home.
Milking Parlor
Daily milking demonstrations take place at the Milking Parlor located on the southeast corner on the lower level of the double deck barn.
Saz’s and Old Wisconsin Sausage Racing Pigs presented by Milwaukee Admirals
Fairgoers of every age line up to see the Racing Pigs run the track in pursuit of their coveted cheese doodle! The Racing Pigs compete each day at 11 am, 1, 3:30, 6, and 8 pm in the Racing Pigs Arena located on Second Street. This year, there will be swimming pigs, too!
Veggie Races
Located in the Ag Oasis, which can be found between the Coliseum and the Wisconsin Products Pavilion, kids can pick a vegetable and race with it. It’s fun for the whole family and parents can cheer
on their youngster and their veggie as they race to cross the finish line! Races take place throughout the day.
We Energies Energy Park
Filled with all sorts of exciting and educational programming for Fairgoers, We Energies Energy Park is a wonderful setting to enjoy horticulture expert Melinda Myers, Sky Hunters “Birds of Prey,” the Energy Game Show, Sensational Servings with Chef Mark and the Solar Car Race.
