Home Depot - NEW!
Stop by the NEW Home Depot display located in The Big Backyard for great ideas and inspirations for your new kitchen and entire home remodeling and improvement concepts. Professionals will be on-hand to discuss year round comfort with energy efficient ways to warm and cool your home, roofing & siding options, and much more. Children will enjoy the Kid’s Workshop Clinic while Mom & Dad browse the expansive exhibit for ideas to refresh the look and feel of their home.
Toyota Experience - New!
Don’t miss the brand NEW Toyota Experience located in the Big Backyard south of the DNR Park.
Exhibits in this exciting new area include, a vehicle display featuring a full line of Toyota vehicles
with knowledgeable Product Specialists to help answer your questions; Rotisserie Tundra – you
gotta see it to believe it…an actual production Tundra hoisted on a rotisserie supplied by Wilde Toyota; and an interactive family game area featuring Bean Bag Toss and Foosball! This is too big to miss.
Also be sure to visit the Toyota Mobile Hybrid Experience – Ride & Drive located on the north side of
the Park, just inside the U.S. Cellular Main Gate.
Ejection Seat
Daredevils that love an unforgettable rush will love a ride on the Ejection Seat. Located on the southwest side of the Fair Park, the Ejection Seat will catapult you over 200 feet in the air as spectators listen to the laughter and screams from the live audio system broadcasting the reaction of riders. Fee applies.
Assurant Health Family Variety Stage
The Assurant Health Family Variety Stage offers fantastic, interactive entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. Enjoy a variety of performances from engaging entertainers throughout the day and evening. The stage features performances by the Truly Remarkable Loon, Kenny Ahern, National Yo-Yo Champion Mark Hayward, Nick’s Kids Show, Kandu & Co. Magic Show and others! For detailed stage lineups please consult the daily entertainment schedules.
Pro BMX presents Bikes, Boards & Blades
Check out the world of extreme sports! Located in the Sports Zone within the Big Backyard, the members of Pro BMX will execute crazy stunts (not to be tried at home) on BMX Bikes, Skate Boards and Inline Blades. Three shows are performed daily, Monday through Friday, and there are four shows daily on Saturdays and Sundays. Please consult daily schedules for exact show times as they vary by day.
Timber Tina’s World Champion Lumberjills
Chicks with Axes are what this show is all about! Reveal in the simply amazing skills of Tina’s team of Lumberjills and watch the sheer power of a “hot” saw race, axe throwing, Jill & Jill cross-cut sawing, chainsaw carving and log rolling. The Lumberjills were a crowd favorite in 2007, make them one of your favorites this year!
Activity Zone
Expend some energy and have some fun within the Activity Zone located in the Big Backyard. Test your gaming skills in the Arcade or see how high you can climb on the Rock Wall. Racing fans will definitely want to check out the NASCAR simulator or compete against others in the NASCAR racers.
THRIVENT BUILDS WITH HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Challenge your friends to a nail-pounding competition to benefit the local Habitat for Humanity office! Visit the Thrivent Builds Mobile, located in the Big Backyard, to learn more. The Thrivent Builds Mobile is a one-of-a-kind mobile exhibit designed to help visitors experience—if only for a few minutes—what it means to live in substandard housing. It is a 67-foot semi-trailer that will enable visitors to experience substandard housing up close and learn what they can do to address this problem that affects millions of American families.
Former Green Bay Packer Appearance
If you’ve always wanted to opportunity to meet a real Green Bay Packer, stop by the Big Backyard to meet Former Green Bay Packer and fan favorite, LeRoy Butler. LeRoy will be in the Big Backyard on Saturday, August 2 from 3pm – 4:30pm and on Sunday, August 3 from 9:30am – 11:30am |
