  Wisconsin State Fair Park is the People’s Park. A place where visitors create memories that transcend generations. The 200-acre Park is not only home to hundreds of events each year, including the annual Wisconsin State Fair, but it is also home to The Milwaukee Mile, the Pettit National Ice Center, and the Wisconsin Exposition Center. On an annual basis nearly 2.5 million visitors from all walks of life and from all across the country visit the entities and events at Wisconsin State Fair Park to enjoy a wide spectrum of activities, events, races and trade shows.

The Fair Park is situated in both West Allis and Milwaukee. The State Fair Park Board provides oversight and direction for the Park and to the staff of the Fair Park while day to day operation and programming of the Fair Park is the responsibility of the staff. Wisconsin State Fair Park is an agency of the State of Wisconsin and attached to the Department of Tourism. As a revenue generating agency, the Fair does not receive any direct taxpayer subsidies although the Fair Park is allocated some benefits and support from the State’s Building Commission for capital improvement projects and repairs.

Wisconsin State Fair is the signature event annually held at the Fair Park, welcoming an average of 800,000-850,000 visitors each year for the 11-day family entertainment extravaganza. As one of the state of Wisconsin’s largest and most affordable summer entertainment options, the Wisconsin State Fair offers an abundance of fun for all ages. The grounds feature an Ag Village where Fairgoers can enjoy over 10,000 animals on display and in competition, educational programs on agriculture and renewable energy, milking demonstrations and much more. Agricultural products made in Wisconsin are on display in the Wisconsin Products Pavilion where Fairgoers can learn more about what’s made in our fine state as well as purchase a plethora of products to eat on site or take home for later. Horticulture, crafts, textile and culinary competitions and displays are found the Textile, Crafts and Culinary Pavilion that is filled to the brim with beautiful creations for all to see.

More than 200 food vendors are sprinkled throughout the Park featuring everything to please your palate from Americana, Asian and Greek to Italian, Mexican and Polish. Our world famous and delectably delicious Cream Puffs are a treat hundreds of thousands look forward to all year, and are sold individually and in six-packs! There’s no shortage on the music and entertainment menu at the Fair with 30 FREE stages of entertainment highlighting a broad range of genres including country, rock, pop, nostalgia, R&B, world music and so much more, and there’s no lack of interactive and educational entertainment on stages focused just on families. The granddaddy of all the stages is the Main Stage placing the spotlight in some of the bigger names in music. The Fair can also be categorized as a shopper’s paradise with six marketplaces with over 700 vendors featuring virtually every imaginable type of jewelry, ware and product. Activities and attractions include a midway and kiddie kingdom, the sky glider that will take you for a ride over the Fair Park, a Giant Slide that will elicit joyous giggles from all that ride the slide, a Sports Zone, and so much more.

In addition to the Wisconsin State Fair, a sampling of other events hosted at the Fair Park include Harvest Fair, NASCAR racing, NARI’s Fall and Spring Home Improvement Shows, MetroParent’s KIDSFest, Wisconsin Kennel Club Dog Show, and Olympic Speed Skating training and qualifiers.
