hunger task force $2 day - Thursday , august 6
Bring two or more nonperishable food items to any admission gate from 8am – 6pm on Opening Day, and get in for just $2! Visit us in Central Mall to learn more about ending hunger. Hunger Task Force is locally established, community supported, and provides free food for the hungry.
Central Mall Activities
8am - 6pm SAVE THE FARM! Climb on our 1947 and 2007 tractors and see produce display; learn more about saving one of Milwaukee’s last urban farms—150 acres in Franklin, Wisconsin. WHO ARE YOUR REPRESENTATIVES? Provide your address and get a complete list of politicos and how to give them a piece of your mind at the local, county, state and federal levels. QUALIFY TO GET FOOD STAMPS! Ever wonder if you are eligible for GOVERNMENT FOOD ASSISTANCE? Find out now with Hunger Task Force staff and their trusty laptops!
8am - 6pm KIDS’ GAMES: Food pyramid tether-toss, temporary tattoos, football tractor tire throw! CHILD NUTRITION RE-AUTHORIZATION: Tell your federal legislators to feed kids as they make legislation this fall affecting hunger for the next half decade…give ‘em heck! SIGN UP FOR SCHOOL MEALS: Get help filling out those tricky applications for your child to receive MPS or other Wisconsin school district lunches and breakfasts.
