Agriculture is at the heart of what the Wisconsin State Fair is all about. Throughout the 11-days of the Fair more than 10,000 animals are exhibited offering Fairgoers an unbelievable opportunity to learn about the Badger State’s largest industry. Cattle, sheep, llamas, horses, goats, swine, alpacas, poultry and rabbits fill the barns in Ag Village. These magnificent and beautiful creatures are exhibited by youth and adults from both Wisconsin and from across the country.
The Fair’s programming provides plenty of wonderful and interactive opportunities to enhance your knowledge about Wisconsin’s agriculture industry. Learn about the dairy industry during daily milking demonstrations at the Milking Parlor, located on the southeast corner on the lower level of the double deck barn. Stroll through Discovery Barnyard to learn about animal agriculture and see exhibits and demonstrations, or enhance your knowledge of the dairy industry at the House of Moo in the Livestock Barn. Visit Ag Oasis to find out more about Urban Agriculture and how you can incorporate it into your life.
