Stroll along over 400 feet of magnificent shopping in The Galleria of the Big Backyard, the Fair’s newest shopping destination. Find treasures from around the world as well as many handmade items made right here in the U.S. Discover items such as American made sterling silver jewelry, wood carvings from Africa, and hand crafted Grecian olive oil soaps. Stop for something to eat at Fiesta Garibaldi and listen to authentic mariachi music as you sip your frozen Margarita. Located down the center of the Big Backyard just west of the Original Cream Puff Pavilion.
EJECTION SEAT
Daredevils that love an unforgettable rush will love a ride on the Ejection Seat. Located on the southwest side of the Fair Park, the Ejection Seat will catapult you over 200 feet in the air as spectators listen to the laughter and screams from the live audio system broadcasting the reaction of riders. Fee applies.
ASSURANT HEALTH FAMILY VARIETY STAGE
Located within the Big Backyard, the Assurant Health Family Variety Stage offers fantastic, interactive
entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. Enjoy a variety of performances from engaging entertainers throughout the day and evening. The stage features performances by the Truly Remarkable Loon, Kenny Ahern, Steve Trash’s “Green Magic Show,” National Yo-Yo Champion Mark Hayward, The Recycle Show, Nick’s Kids Show, Kandu & Co. Magic Show and others! For detailed stage lineups, please consult the daily entertainment schedules.
PRO BMX PRESENTS BIKES & BOARDS
Check out the world of extreme sports! Located in the Sports Zone within the Big Backyard, the members of Pro BMX will execute crazy stunts (not to be tried at home) on BMX bikes and skateboards. Three shows are performed daily, Monday through Friday and there are four shows daily on Saturdays and Sundays. Please consult daily lineups for exact show.
TIMBER TINA’S WORLD CHAMPION LUMBERJILLS
Chics with Axes are what this show is all about! Revel in the simply amazing skills of Tina’s team of
Lumberjills and watch the sheer power of a “hot” saw race, axe throwing, Jill & Jill cross-cut sawing,
chainsaw carving and log rolling. The Lumberjills are a crowd favorite each year at the Fair, make them one of your favorites this year!
ACTIVITY ZONE
Expend some energy and have some fun within the Activity Zone located in the Big Backyard. Test your gaming skills in the Arcade or see how high you can climb on the Rock Wall. Racing fans will definitely want to check out the NASCAR simulator or compete against others in the NASCAR racers.
